THANK YOU!!

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everybody who made it possible for the rain emperor to take place, from those of you who bought tickets to come to see the show, the musicians who learned the incredibly challenging scores to my Mum whose world famous lasagne kept the hard working crew going into the night.

The acoustic properties of the village underground lend themselves perfectly to the soulful sounds of our tenor sax soloist Beverley Chadwick, who will play 'Wedding Dance' by Robert Jacob as part of The Rain Emperor.

With sound being one of our favorite playgrounds for this event I have great pleasure in introducing the very talented Mr Nathaniel Slade, who brings with him 'The Room Ghost' to appear as part of The Rain Emperor.

Aste is set to perform Deus Miserere in the eye of the storm.

Aste is a performance artist, novelty-act aerialist and theatre maker, Aste has created a series of shows based around games. She was one of the founders of Glastonbury's notorious underground pianobar, and has been known to hang upside down on a rope singing Jacques Brel songs and playing the accordion. She is one half of the Amundsen &Slade Sonic Sideshow.

I finally got around to asking these two incredibly talented set designers where they got their name... but i am not telling!

After a very exciting meeting about set elements for The Rain Emperor this afternoon I can't wait to see the finished result, we have some beautifully thought out structures going in inspired and built specially for the show. Playful designs for guests to interact with... I am always delighted with the ideas that unfold when working with this company.

Here is a little bit about them:

These go to print next week, any great ideas for distribution are very welcome, we want to make sure as many people know about this fantastic event as possible, it is absolutely NOT TO BE MISSED!!

Feel free to forward to everyone and anyone with an appetite for something a little different...

A haunting performance to be expected as Liz Peters enchants guests with a specially devised piece for the rain emperor.

Since winning a scholarship to Mountview, Liz has cultivated a career as a strong character actress on both stage and screen. From a stirring central performance as the female lead in the tragic Film Noir ‘Moth To a Flame’, to the delightfully grotesque comedy of Lady Pig, Liz is a natural chameleon.

Her work includes a range of musical theatre, festival exhibitions, short films and cabaret theme shows as a performer/choreographer. She is excited to be involved in this unique & challenging performance.

The Rain Emperor has been listed as Run-Riots 'Wild Card' for February.

'Run-Riot is a listing of cultural happenings, updated on a regular basis by a team of writers, agitators and culture enthusiasts. Our aim is to connect with those actively seeking a culture buzz, to deliver a refined selection of events. Well, it’s a little more than a listing. It’s a ‘guide’ cultivated and nurtured by those on the front line. On the whole you can trust us... Take a risk, friend.
